Ahem, I know exactly what he meant! As a conductor, and sometimes as arranger too, I often have to work with choirs and accompanists...Sometimes it's really difficult to convince them of some musical ideas, and then I'm only talking about amateur choirs, and not even of soloists, and the music is totally different from Rossini's!

As we've been getting more and more posts about operas, singers, etc., I thought it would be a good idea to condense those posts into one forum. I didn't want to just title it "OPERA" (it's already been done :P ), hence the humorous (I hope) "What's Opera, Doc?"

If anyone can come up with a heading that you think is more appropriate, please let me know. I'd also like some suggestions on how to word the description of this forum.

ENJOY!

Melodie,i love your idea of the Opera Forum.
You wanted some help for another name for the forum besides your cute name What's Opera Doc! Well, all i can think of is Opera in the Present, and Opera in the Past....The discription i thought of for you of this forum, could be, Tenors,Baratones, and Sapranos of present,Opera singers of the Past....

I hope this helps.
