Thanks Mel!
I am certain there are many 'colour' piccies out there with other Bo fans but my camera reflected the red carpet and spoilt them! When I changed to black and white they turned out much clearer!!
Hope there are lots more to come. _________________ Andrea is Life, the rest is mere detail |

Sorry to be on the subject of hair again, but how lovely Andrea looks with shorter hair here. And how tanned! I really wish I'd been able to go to TDL. These are great pictures, Tina! I don't know how you could be so close and still manage to get pictures without camera shake! _________________ "Where are we REALLY going? Always home." |

I think Francesca is one of the most beautifullll women I have ever seen. She and Andrea have a regal look to them (minus the blood, of course). They are quite smashing together.
Sally, I agree - his tan and shorter hair cut are both great on him! And how that Steven glows as usual. I am not sure if I have ever seen anyone with the ability to glow, as that man does. He just radiates! He sure captured my heart last November because of it. _________________ Don't marry the man you can live with... marry the man you can't live without ~ |

WOW..this photo gallery is fantastic. I love looking at all these photos of everyone with Andrea AND the Tosca photos of Tosca cast. I was in TDL, but my photos did not come across as well.
Thank You all for posting them. :D

Jlew ~
Welcome to our little home away from home here in Bol. I see you just joined today. It's a lovely place and we hope you come back and share some of your Tosca stories with us!
Most of us here in Bol felt like Cinderella, left home from a most magical night or two - as other lucky ducks were flying over the oceans to see our beloved Andrea in action. Tina, Lorna and Jo had brought us back wonderful stories and photo's.... we were counting on them and they came through :P
Did you manage to find the photo of our Lorna and Alberto as well? She "claims" (ehmmm) she just MANAGED to bUmP into him in the airport. We're still in the jury room over that one......ahahhaa!!
Hope you have fun and come back soon Jlew! _________________ Don't marry the man you can live with... marry the man you can't live without ~ |

Seeing these pictures here reminded me of when I took my Italy pictures to work with me. Most of my pics are of Tuscany--and me  in Tuscany--but I did include a few from the opera that I got from friends. I was letting people look at my album while I was doing other things. I'd come back to get it and get the question, "what happened to that man? Why is there blood on his shirt?". I thought that was cute. :) They didn't know who Andrea was : but at least they were concerned about him. :)
Jane--I second the request for you to share your TdL story! :D In that crush of people after the opera ended, there was no way I was going to get to find you again and not miss my bus back to Viareggio. :) Didn't you say it was your first opera ever? |

Thanks Signora Innamorata for your warm welcome. I did read Lorna's Pisa encounter with Alberto. WOW! is all I can say. I would have been too shy to approach him myself, but I wish I could have been there with Lorna. :D Lucky girl!
Janice,
Good to hear from you! I wish I could take a look of your photo album. I bet it's got some wonderful photos in it. Did you see Carole MacKay's photo of Alberto, You and her? It's up on Club Photo. I ordered a copy of it. Had to have it!
Going to TDL was the BEST decision I made this year! It was my first opera with Andrea. AND my second trip to Bocelliland (as we like to call it) I have been to several operas in the past two years, mostly with Ana Maria Martinez. She is really good.
I LOVED seeing Andrea perform. It was so special to see him in this setting. It's so much more intimate than at a concert. It brought tears to my eyes. If he is going to do something next year at TDL, I may go.
Janice tell us about YOUR encounters with the Bocelli family! PLEASE.

Jane! Heart thumps!
My husband and I were given the tickets to see Andrea and Ana Maria Martinez last November - our first Andrea conert. I was completely enthralled with Ana Maria... completey and totally enthralled! To even think of her in this moment again makes me tear up. Her voice and her passion, and her tender looks to Andrea and to us "out there" in our seats swept me away in complete awe. I actually felt like I was in the presence of an angel. She was the epitomy of graciousness, beauty and passion. I thought her spell binding! And to watch Andrea and her interact with each other, well... no words. I will never forget that night spent with Ana Maria, Andrea and Steven. I was swept into another world. I think it might be a little clue as to what heaven is like  _________________ Don't marry the man you can live with... marry the man you can't live without ~ |

| Well, Jane, since you asked...my group had two days worth of guided van tours planned with an ABsolutely super guy named Gianni. :D Some of the ladies in the group had been to Tuscany before and used him back then. They hired him for this trip as well and it was a great thing! He already knew about making all the stops on the "BocelliLand" tour. Our first stop was La Sterza to visit the cantina and make wine purchases. As we are pulling in, who is pulling out? Alberto! Gianni signalled him and went over to the car window and explained our group. Alberto happily got out of the car and came in to be wine salesman for the group. :) We all shook hands with him and he readily posed for as many pictures as anyone wanted. He's such a good sport! :D Gianni asked him for us if he minds doing things like what he was doing. He said, through Gianni, that he is happy to do it for his brother. Like I said, he's such a good sport! When all wines were done being purchased and the last picture was snapped, Alberto got back into his car and we all got back into our van and we took off--each on our own way. We didn't follow Alberto! I thought the cantina was really nice--so Tuscan! :) That sounds silly, maybe, but I was looking on my trip to see Tuscan sights like on the wall calendars and the cantina was certainly one of those places. The area was so sunny, peaceful, and perfect. I'm getting nostalgic already!  :D |

Hi all:
As you can see, we don't post much. We're pretty much lurkers. We just had to put our 2 cents in about the wonderful pics on the site and in the Gallery. Cathy and I were also "privileged" to be in TdL and see both of Andrea's performances in Tosca on the 24th and 30th of July. Tina's report is just wonderful. It takes us back to then and we can relive it over and over again, the wonderful experiences we had there. This was our first trip to TdL to see OFT in an opera. We met so many wonderful people there. So many BoFans from all over the world came to see OFT and the wonderful cast of Tosca perform. We took some pics while there and had the great privilege of meeting Signora Edy, Andrea's mother, while in La Sterza, at the Cantina to purchase our beloved Bocelli wine. We also met Alberto's wife who came out to meet us and sell us the wine. Alberto was on the phone. Then Edy came out to introduce herself when she heard we purchased Sandro's wine. Such a gracious, wonderful woman. We took some pics of her and Alberto's wife (I'm so sorry we forgot her name). Edy invited us backstage after the performance on the 30th. She also gave us 2 personally signed by Andrea picture post cards. One of Tosca and the other of Il Trovatore. They are treasured mementos. It was so exciting to see Andrea perform in Tosca. We also took similar pics of the cast taking bows after the performance. Then when we were waiting in line to go backstage, we met Michele Torpedine, Andrea's manager. I took a pic of Cathy with him. When we went backstage, we were with a crowd of people waiting to see Andrea. We were led down the narrow hallway and there was OFT, standing by the doorway to his trailer, with Veronica by his side. The area was very narrow and there were a number of people in front of us so I couldn't get any real good pics, but I did manage to get some of his face talking to some of the people there. Karen from Ohio was there along with Marisa. They were in front of us. Cathy finally got up to Andrea. She told him in Italian what a beautiful voice he had (un bella voce). Then she put her hand on his arm, leaned in and up and kissed him on the cheek. He smiled and said "grazie". Needless to say, that was the highlight of the trip for Cathy. Unfortunately, as I was preparing to take the pic, someone stepped directly in front of me blocking my view, as they were taking pics of their own. Then Andrea said he had to go to find Mama, and he and Veronica left. We got pics with Steven and took pics of Tina and Lorna with him as well. My dilemma is I'm not sure how to post any pics on this site. I don't have my own website, but I do have the pics on my computer. If anyone knows how to do it, please let me know. I am also trying to figure out how to put a picture of Cathy and I on our profile, like we see some of you have done. I'm not computer literate enough to figure it out. :) It was a great time for us. We only saw Andrea perform live one other time. That was in Atlanta, near where we live, when he was doing his Sentimento concerts U.S. tour. That was great, but seeing him perform Tosca was even better. As we said, we don't post often, but this required us to chime in with our 2 cents. If someone would be so kind as to help us out, we'll post some pics.
Ciao, a presto

Oh wow!
Great post Cathy and Harry. I really enjoyed reading this one and what a great time you two must have had.
I would love to see your photos as I am sure all other Bo fans would too. Mel will help you out with posting them on the forum, just send them to her via her email address and attach the piccies (that's what I did).
So we (Tina and I )were actually next to you backstage on the night of 30 July...wish we had met!
Good Luck Cathy and Harry I will keep checking this thread to see the great photos you must have! _________________ Andrea is Life, the rest is mere detail |
