The wonderful jazz trumpeteer, Chris Botti, has a new CD out called "When I Fall In Love". It is an album of old love songs, mostly instrumental with some vocals. Track 13 is a GORGEOUS version of Time to Say Goodbye (Con Te Partiro). While this song will ALWAYS be Andrea's, this is a beautiful rendition. Chech out this link at Amazon for a listen!

Enjoy!

| I bought that album, too, Christine, along with "Yo-Yo Ma plays Ennio Morricone" -- "Cinema Paradiso" is on both CDs. I have to get that movie out again to watch it! |

Oh, Jo!
She's gorgeous! Congratulations! My 14 year old son plays cello and likes Yo-Yo Ma. My 16 year old wanted to get him a CD for his birthday and said "Mom, if I give you the money, will you pick up a CD for me?" I asked who he wanted me to get, and he said, "You know, that Yo Mama guy!" I just about died laughing! We got his Baroque Vivaldi CD. It's beautiful!

The Vivaldi album is one of my favorites. It's in Gregory's CD player now for naptime music. He only howls for about 30 seconds after we close his door, then he babbles for a minute or two and slides into relaxation.
Yo-mama, huh! Cool kids you have! |

Hi again, Jo!
Yes, I do have "cool" kids! My oldest is a freshman in college, on a full scholarship for classical piano. She also teaches piano to my six year old, and gives piano lessons at her grade school. My 16 year old boy is a flamenco guitarist at the Milwaukee High School of the Arts, and as I told you, my 14 year old plays cello! I swear, I don't know where they get it from! It must skip a generation! LOL!

Wow! I'm impressed!
And what flamenco guitarists does your 16 year old son like? I bought a Gipsy Kings album and don't care as much for the singing as I do for the guitar intros to the songs. I could listen to them strumming for hours! |

Hi Jo!
Michael likes John McLaughlan, Al Di Meola, Paco De Lucia a lot, especially when they play together. He and his friend can play Mediterranian Sundance by them, and it's beautiful! He likes Andre Segovia and John Williams and he plays a lot of pieces by Spanish composers. This summer he and his school guitar combo played at our "Jazz in the Park" festival one night, and it was quite a thrill! :slick
