Travelers' Tales: Italy, edited by Anne Calcagno. This was given to me by a friend in my Italian class -- it is a compilation of short pieces describing the authors' experiences in Italy -- some are very funny-- thoroughly enjoyable. :D sara

There are two books by Tim Parks that are worth reading--they're funny and also give a good description of a Brit living in Italy: An Italian Education and his earlier one, Italian Neighbors.[/u]
