The crowd did look bored during the concert, they all wanted to hear more of Bocelli.
The ballet was quite nice and so were the other acts, however, I did wish Andrea had sang more of our favorite songs, I tried to make the best of the evening, but I can see why others were upset. |

As I stated in a response on the Discussion Forum, I attended the D.C. concert last night and throughly enjoyed the entire concert. I felt Andrea sang beautifully and was well received by the audience. As for Andrea singing "favorite songs," the sacred arias he sang last night are some my favorite songs. It's all a matter of personal taste I suppose.

Cami McNamee has written a great review of the show at the MCI Center; this is what I would've written about the Boston show if I had the ability. LOL

So sorry to hear some attendees are upset regarding the DC concert. The only snag I could see was the 30 minute delay in starting and goodness only knows why that happened. Beyond that, Andrea, Denyce, the choir, the orchestra, the ballet dancers....all were wonderful. To see that much talent come together, under one roof, was a triumph. I have heard so many positive comments from those that attended, that I have to believe the detractors are very limited in number. Even if their number is small, they feel what they feel, and so to them, I offer genuine commiseration that they left disappointed.
I expected to enjoy the show....and I did. Andrea sang more songs than I had anticipated he would, since he was sharing the stage with so many other performers. The only way it could have been better would have been if Andrea had said, "would the lady in the 4th row, 4th seat from the left, please come on stage so I can sing just to her." SIGH |

Oh,my goodness Joyce,Andrea singing just to you, Wouldn't that have been romantic? A dream come true.
I sure wish i could have gone to MSG,and,/or the DC, concert to see Andrea Bocelli in person is my dream but,it hasen't happened yet.
I would be happy just to see him sing one song just so i could say i've seen him in person. No matter what Bocelli sings it's always so wonderful.
Everyone that attended the Concert is very fortunate,& i would never be bored as long as i could see Andrea.
Thanks everyone for all the reports.
