Hi: Just wanted to introduce myself to you all. I became an instant Bocelli fan after viewing him on American Idol. Prior to the show I'm ashamed to say I'd never heard of him (tutt tutt on me)
His voice is both remarkable and soothing and I promptly went out to buy two of his CDs plus his DVD a Night In Tuscany.
Look forward to being a member on this site, the information and many links to Andrea's music and appearances is a wealth of knowledge and takes me to places i've only imagined.
Great job to the moderators of this site. Keep up the good work. |

Buongiorno and Welcome!
We are pleased to have you join us at BOL. There are many who had not heard Andrea sing before his appearance on American Idol. As bewildering as that may be to those of us who have followed his carreer from his early days, we're delighted that literally millions have now heard his beautiful voice via AI.
Andrea's appeal is extraordinary. Not only does he have a musical gift, but a serene Spirit which is conveyed in interview after interview. It pours itself into his singing, and in my opinion, brings the music to life in a way that is difficult to resist. We've all felt the depth of that emotion, and now you've discovered it too.

PS. Mille Grazie per i complimenti! It is Melodie who is to be credited for making the site what it is. Welcome! You will never be the same as we can I'm sure all atest to. Listening to Bocelli is the most beautiful music in the world to me. It doesn't matter whether I'm in my office, car or in the my home....he is there with me. You, my friend are in for an experience. Enjoy.....

Thank you both for your warm welcome to this wonderful forum.
You are right, my life will never be the same now, I'm hooked. I play his music all the time and just go into another world.
I've been following his heavy schedule and it doesn't look like Toronto is in the cards for him for this year, ah well, maybe with a prayer he'll come in 2007.

Wow, Sarah, that's awesome. So glad you enjoyed Toronto as well.
Unfortunately, like a lot of new fans, I didn't know of Andrea nor his music prior to AI...but rest assured, if he returns to TOronto, I'll be first in that line up for tickets :-) Lin aka Crinklefry  |

If we go back in time 8 years, I can relate! I live in Chicago. I "discovered" Andrea completely in November of 1998. When I learned he had appeared in Chicago in JULY of 1998, I was really depressed. I thought to myself, "this guy lives in Italy. Will he EVER come back to the USA?". Funny what I didn't know then, eh? Bringing us back up to the present, I can happily report I have since seen him in 9 concerts, one Christmas special, three operas and the Toronto ice show appearance. I will be seeing my 10th concert NEXT MONTH in the Boston area and my 11th, 12th, and 13th concerts in September at Lincoln Center. I've seen him at least once a year since 1999. It's a streak I hope continues for a LONG time! |

Oh...believe me...details you will have...once my feet touch the ground again. I'm sure I'll be floating for sometime after each one of the concerts.
