I agree with you Carole that this album is very special. We know that many of the songs were written for Andrea and that he relates to them as they reflect incidents in his life. I can imagine this album as the background for a possible film about his life.

I am a brand new Bocelli fan and I have to say, I love the Amore album. It is very summery and light -- relaxing, yet inspirational. I take Andrea running with me! The second album I bought was Sogno -- couldn't decide between it and Romanza and did the eeny meeny miney mo thing at Borders and ended up with Sogno. Anywho -- like that album too, but am I crazy to think that Andrea's vocals are much better today than back then?

Which album should I buy next? Since I like Amore, maybe I'd like Andrea? Or should I get Romanza? (I probably should just go and buy them all...)

You take Andrea running with you--YOU WISH! LOL! bouncy I do agree with you about "Amore", it has a wonderful "feel" about it. I wouldn't say Andrea's vocals are "better" today as much as I'd say they are different. THE VOICE on the older cds sounds "rougher', to quote my sister, but that could be a stylistic choice as much as anything else. BUT...Andrea does say he works every day to sing better than he did the previous day so perhaps HE would agree with your take. I LOVE both sounds! smooch
"Romanza" is the first album many people get. For the older fans, it was the first one we COULD get! "Cieli di Toscana"(aka CDT to fans) does sound very autobiographical a lot. It's a special album. I think "Andrea" has a very free, independent, assured sound, which could again be autobiographical. I like to think Andrea is at that stage in life. It's a good place to be! You will definitely wind up getting them all--it's just a question of when! We all do it! group hug

That is sort of funny how that came out -- that I take Andrea running with me!! Hey, it keeps me running for longer because I just want to listen to the entire CD!!! I will have to buy his other albums -- the more I listen to his voice, I feel like I am getting more and more addicted. I can't wait to buy the other albums...but I am going to pace myself and start with CdT and then Romanza. Then Andrea. Thanks for your suggestions!

I too am a new fan. I have classical background as I played violin for 5 years and my father helped found the symphony here. I just happened to record the results of AI in which Andrea sang BWB. This was the first time I heard Andrea Bocelli. He absolutely fascinated me, as you can see that he is an overcomer of obstacles. He strives to achieve when others in his position might just give up. After learning more about him, and his struggles to grab the golden ring from the carousel, one can't help but respect his dogmatic drive for perfection. As an American, with limited bi-lingual abilities, it just doesn't matter what language he chooses to sing in as his voice communicates to the heart. The CD Amore is just that......songs of love. When I hear it, (there will be those that may not understand) I feel that love, and it's for my husband, which makes me feel that much closer to him. Lets face it, in this day and time, the world needs more love and less selfishness. This CD, in my mind, is geared toward the women listener, and is being grasped and held close. That, in turn, will make Andrea's popularity soar. What I would really be interested in is a CD of songs written by Andrea. You know they would be songs from the heart. Just a thought.

Hello,Lindy.

What a nice inspiring post you have written about our Andrea,Bocelli.
Welcome to Bocellionline. You will love it here,as you will find much more information about Andrea, and learn alot more about him.

He is simply magnificent, and has never given up on anything he wanted to accomplish. He is a very Positive person. He is getting much better with his english, and you mentioned him singing in english some songs, and he wrote the song,"Because we Believe"that is his song, and very beautiful.
He sings it in english, and Italian too. I don't know if you've heard his album called
"Andrea"but if you haven't,you would really love it,and he sings a very heart felt song on this album called,"When a child is born"and it is sang in english. It is most beautiful too.

As you said,Lindy.Andrea,Bocelli has overcome all obsticals in his life, and that in it's self should be an inspiration to many. comfort

Again,welcome to the forum.
Friend,Claire. wave

I definitely agree with that thought, Lindy! Judging from the two songs that he wrote, and that I love so much.....Il Diavolo E L'Angelo and Voglio Restare Cosi every single song on that CD would ABsolutely put me on the moon banana
