What preparation do you do before a performance, for going on the road?
AB- Physically one week before, i go away, i diet, sleep, have no wine.
How do you travel?
AB- i always have my computer with me, i have 100 cd's or more! In wave format, not mp3, it has terrible stammers, don't use it! I cannot leave without the music.
What is your favourite platform to perform?
AB- For me, theatre is the house of the music, there is no amplification, the world changes and runs very quickly, there is a need to make new experience, we need to listen to the music together, many many people all together.

In the very broad range of music that you perform, do you have a different approach to each discipline?
AB- it is difficult because pop and classical are two different languages, different rules and approaches.
You are great friends with Pavorotti, have you been in touch recently?
AB- when i was in New York for four concerts at Avery Fisher Hall, i heard that Pavorotti was there, in his house, so i immediately went to him. For two hours we spoke about singing. It is important, because he is the last great empire of vocal knowledge, it is a crime to let that knowledge pass away.
What would you say is the unique quality of Pavorotti?
AB- There is not just one quality, there are so many, his voice, absolute mastery of his instrument, and extra ordinary technique.
