I would love to Rita, this is how the book is described at Amazon.com. A murder in the Louvre museum that reveals a sinister plot to uncover a secret that has been protected by a clandestine society since the days of Christ. The victim is a high-ranking agent of this ancient society who, in the moments before his death, manages to leave gruesome clues at the scene that only his granddaughter, noted cryptographer Sophie Neveu, and Robert Langdon, a famed symbologist, can untangle. The duo become both suspects and detectives searching for not only Neveu's father's murderer but also the stunning secret of the ages he was charged to protect. Mere steps ahead of the authorities and the deadly competition, the mystery leads Neveu and Langdon on a breathless flight through France, England, and history itself.

I hope that was helpful, it was really a great read and very thought provoking. If you decided to read it let me know how you liked it. :)

I'm about half way through The Da Vinci code and it's hard to put down. The last book I enjoyed this much was Bel Canto. Brown did some tremendous research for this book as it is hard to separate fact from fiction. Really an entertaining and thought provoking read!

To encourage his readers to discover the joys of cracking code, Brown has created an Internet-based treasure hunt based on The Da Vinci Code that involves Google searches, code cracking, e-mail missives and low-level password hacking.

Winners will receive a prize that, Brown said, involves "something money can't buy." He declined to provide details, saying that he wants winners to be surprised.

ABC had a show Mon., Nov. 3 which discussed Jesus, Mary and Da Vinci. Elizabeth Vargus interviewed Dan Brown and several religious scholars on some of the contorversial ideas in The.Da Vinci Code. I have just started to read the book so I haven't formed an opinion yet.
I am anxious to get deeper into the story.
Ciao, Sarah

Everyone is talking about this book and the reviews are all the same. It's great. I couldn't get out of the store without people stopping me to say they or someone they knew had read it and truly loved it. I picked it up for my daughter and when she is finished, I'll read and get back with you all. Sounds like another good Christmas present for someone who likes to read.

I felt this was a great book, clever from beginning to end. It did not disappoint in anyway. I especially like the very short chapters and the many, many moments of suspense when the reader just had to wonder - how in the world are they ever going to get out of this! It also gave a lot of knowledge about the world of art and symbolism. And I love the name Teabing!

I've been told to get it by my sister since I've mentioned boredom and a slight inability to get to the library. I hear it's good though!

I've read this book. I own a Limited Edition Copy of it. It is so sofisticated & awsome. 10/10.

* Da Vinci was a really SMART man
