Wow, how lucky you have been, Karen. I know this would be a very hard question, but did you have a favorite opera out of those two? Werther was in Detroit, right? Forgive me, but I can't remember where he performed Madame Butterfly. I assume you saw him in the states?... or did you get to travel to Italy for that peformance?
Thanks for the nice chat, Karen  _________________ Don't marry the man you can live with... marry the man you can't live without ~ |

Signora, I also saw Andrea perform in more than one opera: I saw his Madama Butterfly in Torre del Lago, his Werther in Bologna, and someone once sent me a tape with his La Bohème in Cagliari. If you go to http://www.bocelli.de, and you click on "live", you will see a link: "opera". There you can see every opera in which he performed. I think there are many great and less great singers around, but only a few whose acting I really like. Andrea is one of those. His portrayal of Werhter really moved me. This summer I will be going to Italy again for Andrea's Tosca. _________________ I believe in the equality of all people, I try to respect all living creatures, and I believe in the power of love.... |
