Hi Kenzu,
Here I am,one of Mario's fans.Variety is the spice of life
At my age I think another tenor is allowed Seriously. he is very good
and I also have the VHS of Sometimes I Dream. If you get it I know you'll enjoy him. He stays in one place like Andrea(doesn't wiggle around)
haha. He has his first American tour this coming Fall. His biography is
amazing.Studied at Juliard 5 yrs from a Maria Callas scholarship. Then
back to Italy to study with Alfredo Kraus, was in Les Mis.and West Side Story in London to say the least.Go to his site and read his story.Has many albums,my favorite is Acropolis Concert.Sings in English, french.
Spanish fluently and speaks it too.Of course in Greek also where he lives.
He was in Finland.Just write to me for info.Melodie, you asked for it.Haha
By the way, Andrea is first, but this handsome guy with the awesome
voice comes in second-in fact I'd love to hear a duet with my two guys.
He sings Ne Me Quitte Pas in French that sends me

Like Andrea, Mario sings with two voices and when he switches from pop to opera in "Sometimes I Dream" you can hear the difference and it's astounding. |

Have not listened so very much of Mario Frangoulis but I hear a beautiful natural voice like Andrea has with nice timbre and I really enjoy listening him. :D .
Bought yeaterday another cd: Marcelo Alvarez-french arias....this guy is amazing too his voice is a little baritonal, nice pitch, beautiful timbre and having confidence him to rise in the future among the stars 8) ... No worries mates.....there are coming promising tenors to fill the places when the older generation is stepping down from stages to their earned retirement. If the opera houses and record labels donīt misuse voices of these young promising tenors we have a bright future to wait for and lots of beautiful voices  _________________ "Ex nihilo nihil fit" |

| The Mario Frangoulis "Sometimes I Dream" cd is the first one that was recommended to me (for someone to try outside of Andrea) that actually held my interest. :) But...I haven't listened to it lately. I do remember when I did listen to it more often that I wished he had mixed it up more. I found a lot of the songs a litle too laid back. When you hear "Luna Rosa" (was that the name of it?) you really wake up! Then things get kind of on the sleepy side again. It is the only cd of his that I own. |

Hi Janice.
We don't know the excact date yet but one of his managers told me when they get it all set,he will let me know. It's like pulling teeth to get info, you know how it is. One of his promoters is Peter Asher who is also a vice president of some kind at Sony. They beter hurry and tell and start promoting him.
He has many Greek albums and all including Acropolis Concert(my
favorite) can be purchased at Greekcity.com in Canada.Very reliable.
I forgot to say thet his Italian is impeccable.I'm glad you like when he includes le Estelle in the song.AC has Non Quitte Pas in French.mercy
mercy. Also sings Miserere-2 parts. Phantom of the Opera with his soprano
girl-friend Deborah Meyers.,West Side Story etc in album AC.
WILL LET YOU KNOW ABOUT TOUR IMMEDIATELY Dottie
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D |

Hi Chanah,
You are welcome. We are waiting with baited breath(like we do for
Andrea) for his coming tour.He will also star in the Olympics in Greece.
He just finished a movie with Kevin Kline, life of Cole Porter coming out in July I think. The title is It's Delovely. He has a small role singing with
Lara Fabian another astounding voice,She just finished singing in Canada
on tour. See you Dottie |
