Hi all:

Sorry to be away from the site for a few days. We were busy taking care of some business that required a lot of our time. Thanks for the kind replies to our pics. We're so glad people are enjoying them. We enjoyed taking them. We see some of you have been able to look at some of the other albums we added to ClubPhoto. As previously mentioned, we were busy adding different albums of our vacation. Unfortunately, we didn't get to post the links to the Tosca and backstage pics, and the Chalet ristorante pics on this site yet. We will post the links below. We also finally added the pics of the Torre del Lago Puccini area to an album and will post the link below.

Signora, we don't know what to say about the red glare seen in the pics either. Just something to keep us wondering. The red behind the actors taking their bows was the backdrop and lighting.

As far as the question about the picture of Michele and Cathy, we can only say that while we were in line waiting to go backstage we saw this person. I introduced myself and called him by name and said that we had seen him when he was in Atlanta for the December 2002 Sentimento concert. He acknowledged this. We had a short conversation with me speaking Italian as he didn't speak any English. We talked about Andrea's wonderful performance in Tosca. We then asked if Andrea would be doing any concerts in the U.S. soon. He said yes, but he couldn't give any specifics to us. We thanked him. When we asked if we could take his picture with Cathy he said "sure" and that's how the pic came about. It is possible that he either didn't understand me when I mentioned his name, or didn't want to correct me for the mistaken identity, or that my Italian (basic as it is) wasn't phrased correctly. As several of you don't believe that the picture is Michele, but rather another person that looks like him and assists Andrea, we apologize for the wrong captioning, but thought it was him.

We will continue putting pics on the ClubPhoto site as we have the time. Some of these probably won't be of interest as they were of the Hotel Eros, where we stayed, and the Lido di Camaiore area which is the town where the hotel is located. It is the town right next to Via Reggio. You're welcome to view them as well when they are posted, if you're interested. Here are the links below to the albums we have created. I just viewed your latest album "Torre del Lago Puccini Area". It was neat to see the back of the teatro, the castle prop & the high seats in the teatro in the day hours. And it's always an added bonus to see our Tina pop up in photo's as she does. We all know how long photo projects take and so thank you very much again. For those of us that don't get the opportunity to go to these thrilling events, it's quite fun to see photo's when they are shared.

We're glad you enjoyed the photos. It's always a pleasure to share whatever we come across or do that other BoFans may enjoy. Having these pictures to review from time to time helps keep the memories alive as it allows us to relive the experience. We do try to make the best of each day. We've learned from experience that time lost is never recoverable and regrets about things undone don't help at all. To the reply from "guest". Thank you so much. It looks like you may indeed have solved the question as to the person in the picture with Cathy. It surely looks a lot like Michele. He and Michele do share a great resemblance. Whatever the case, we were so lucky to get to go backstage through Signora Edi's kind invitation and see OFT and Steven, and meet up with the other lucky BoFans who got to do the same. Our super moderator Tina is such a great person. She and Chris are a great couple and Tina was so very kind in working with us on the 30th dinner at the Chalet ristorante to allow Cathy and I to take her and Chris' place when they cancelled their reservations for the BoFan group dinner that night. The Chalet was completely booked and we wouldn't have been able to meet so many additional BoFans, not to mention have another marvelous dinner there. Once again Tina -- "mille grazie". I have posted our pics of the Hotel Eros and the Lido di Camaiore area on my ClubPhoto webpage. We're not posting a link to it as it doesn't have anything to do directly with the Puccini Festival, Tosca or Andrea, but if anyone is interested you can go to the ClubPhoto site from one of my other links, then click on view all albums. Hi Tina:

Good to hear from you. We just finished booking our air, hotel and car for Andrea's Concert in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay hotel on November 13th. Now we just have to wait for the tickets to go on sale. We believe they are available for online booking on September 18th. Will you be coming across the big pond for his concert? This is Cathy. If you and Chris can't make it, and I can't get up close to Andrea, I'll throw a kiss from both of us, okay?

By the way, I went into a fragrance and cosmetics store here called Ulta. I looked for Andrea's cologne, Azzaro pour Homme. I found it. Harry was with me and I sprayed him. Boy did I spray him. It ran down his face, neck and chest. I think I sprayed about 6 times. He smelled like 10 Andrea's Harry wasn't thrilled about getting a bath in the stuff but he sure smelled good. Had to beat off the women. haha.

Tina, this is Harry. Tell Chris that I now understand how crazy you women get about Andrea, and how Chris is the loving, suffering male in your house, like I am in mine.

Anyway, we hope to hear back from you. If you can't make it this time we'll just have to plan something for the next TdL Andrea performance.

This is the best thread I've read yet. To be so close to Andrea. LOL I don't know if I would be able to speak. I honestly don't know what I would do if I ever got close to Andrea. I think I would be so star struck I need someone to remind me just to breathe. What kind of craziness is this?

What do you do when you see Andrea. Do you just go up and introduce yourself? Like here I am?
