Hello Melodie,
Who are you going with? How much are tickets and where do buy? Tell me your details. That sounds like a nice little getaway.

Hi Rebecca,

If you click on the link I posted, it'll take you to the Mohegan Sun website; tickets appear to be $125-$300.

I'm going with Vic...seems he was getting impatient for Mr. Bocelli to show up!! I've never seen Pavarotti in concert, so I'm looking forward to it - especially since he probably won't be doing this for too much longer. sad

You know, that always makes my heart cramp up when I see those words here and there. I've never seen him in person of course... but, ouch - to know his days on the stage are numbered is very, very sad to me. I love that man.

Ikes!! Only 5 more days to go, Mel. Don't forget to pick out your dress & shoe's in the next couple of days! I would be flipping right out if I was seeing Pavarotti in 5 days from now

I could only wish that one day he & Andrea would do a duet together, but I guess no such luck of that. I think if any two duet dreams of mine could come true, it ultimately would be Andrea and Pavarotti and Andrea & Mina. (I've decided I'll do my own duet with Michele Zarrillo afterall)

Have fun preparing for your once in a lifetime night with Pav, Mel!!

If you can, tell us what time you'll be leaving so I can raise my soda or glass of wine to you & Vic and the fun you'll have there!

Well what the heck then! Are you & Vic having lunch with Pav prior to the concert for pete's sake? Or is Vic just paranoid he might not find a parking space?

hehehee!

Would love to Mel. I'd probably accidentally pull the tablecloth off the table though, so it's probably best I stick on the west coast and think of you guys that night. Much better for everyone...eheheh!

p.s... Map Quest... what a NIFTY thing! Ho capito why you are leaving at noon now. Duh!

ahahha! *dying of redness*

Andrea and Pavarotti HAVE performed together. Do you not know of Pav's annual charity concerts held in Modena? He always has a wide variety of singers in them and will sing at least once with everybody. Andrea has taken part in this concert three times. The first time was waaaaay back in 1994. He was so cute! :D I remember reading somewhere Andrea's thoughts on that evening. He said he was feverish from excitement at the idea of singing with Pav! The other two performances were the past two years. SUCH a difference! Andrea owns the stage! :D 8) He sings with such confidence and the crowd ABsolutely loves him and chants his name "AN-DRE-A! AN-DRE-A!". So they have performed together!

Ah Janice... one more time, leave it to me to make a fool out of myself. ahahaha!

Thank you for that info, I never knew that. Oh how I wished I could have heard them or watched them. These annual charity concerts held in Modena?.... are those the Pavoratti & Friends concerts?

I have 2 of those cd's and one vcr tape, but Andrea isn't on them though.

I am laughing at myself once again at my ignorance on all of the things most all of you know. I wonder if I'll ever get a booby prize in the world of Bocelli??? ehehhe!

Lucky you to have heard them/see them together! You always find all the fun! ........... and really, thx for sharing that. I'm glad I didn't make that post on the OS. The shameeeee of me! eheheh!!!

I certainly am always TRYING to find the fun! :D And I wind up doing pretty well, I must say. 8) Yes, the Modena charity concerts are the "Pavarotti & Friends" shows. I blanked on thinking of what they were called when I made the original post. So you get two points for that one! :)

Whoa....tooo cool! Two points for Signora after 9 months (literally, 9 months as of today). I feel sooo brava in this moment.... GRAZIE! lolol!

Speaking of Pavoratti & Friends - the song he sings with Sheryl Crow - "La ci darem la mano" is a song that I used to put on repeat for hours on end. It's off the Pavarotti & Friends for War Child cd. Of course I don't know what the critics thought of her voice in that, but I was positivley amazed at the beauty of her voice in that song (as well as her courage to sing it). That song moves me very, very much. Opps - I suppose that is an "aria" not a song. I get so confused about this stuff. Bear with me.

The song Holy Mother (sung by Eric Clapton) would make me cry like no tomorrow. Talk about one emotional song! I also have an extremely special place in my heart for Run Baby Run (again, sung by Sheryl Crow). Back in 1997, I played this cd so much that I am surprised it is not warped. I love this entire cd.

I also have the Pav & Friends Together for the Children of Bosnia cd. I can't even look at those 2 covers without breaking out into smiles. What "fun" these 2 cd's are. I just think they are the epitomy of fun. It's yet one more way in which someone famous made the world seem alot smaller by bringing different types of artists and styles together and I adore that.

I also soooo adore Pav's "My Hearts Delight" cd. I just love that guy to pieces!
