WOW Kenzu! Another magical night for you two! Sei molto fortunato!
I've seen his name so many times over these months but I have yet to look him up. I just did so, thanks to you, and what a neat surprise. I had no idea he was so young. Such a handsome man, too. I listened to each clip he offers on the site and what a beautifullll voice.
I'm sure everyone is familiar with him, but in case not, you can click on this link:

To listen to clips from his cd, either click on Discography or click on this link here and it will take you directly to that page

Do you like Cecilia Bortoli's voice, Kenzu? I bought one of her discs back in 1995 and I just didn't care for it. Maybe it was the wrong choice of one of her discs for me, but I just couldn't warm up to her voice. I ended up giving it away. I know she's very popular but hard as I tried, I just couldn't enjoy it. She came to mind because I see she is on his Rossini - Cantatas Vol.2 disc. I actually really like Juan's voice though. Glad I looked him up now. You two are very lucky to see him in 3 weeks! _________________ Don't marry the man you can live with... marry the man you can't live without ~ |

I really like JDF´s voice and he is real master of Rossini´s le canzoni he truly is a "tenore di grazia".
And yes we both like Cecilia Bartoli she is my wife´s favorite. We have several of Bartoli´s records mio cara. She is also a master of Rossini. :music _________________ "Ex nihilo nihil fit" |

Well bello, you must tell her ("E") that I didn't care for her and then you can hear her have a good laugh...eheheh! Hopefully she's still let me come to dinner when we make it to Finland one day! lol!!
I often feel bad that I don't care for some of these famous people that I "should".... but keep in mind I am totally ignorant on these opera things and all I can go on is my gut reaction. I just don't know what to listen "to" in regards to technical things, so I have to just let my ears do the test of whether a voice brings me pleasure or not. Thats not very sophisticated I know, sigh sigh..... wink
Have you listened to (or heard of) the sorpano Anna Netrbebko by chance? Here is her link. I thought she had a pretty voice. What do you think? Be honest, as always - again, I have no clue what I am talking about.
LoL!!!

Cara mio, with my minor knowlidge and my personal point of view she has a beautiful voice a bit pushy in cost of tenderness like example in the clip of o mio babbino caro by Puccini. She left me a kind of cold. Well then again I´m no expert and if she is rewarded singer in opera circles she propably is a great singer. I should hear her more to tell a all-round opinion of her. _________________ "Ex nihilo nihil fit" |

KENZU! What a fabulous way to express your thought! That gave me a chill! Your English just keeps getting better and better and the way you expressed your thought is just beautiful and explanatory. mamma mia, bravo!
I had noticed that she had rave reviews on her site, but then of course only the "good ones" would be on her site, so thanks for giving me an outside opinion. _________________ Don't marry the man you can live with... marry the man you can't live without ~ |
