In my perusal of opera forums, I find that there seems to be an almost unanimous agreement that Rolando Villazon is destined to be a great opera singer if not already one. In Barnes and Noble I found a cardboard poster of this singer with an announcement of his new CD. I'm wondering what fellow Bocelli (opera fans) think of this singer.I have bought both of his CDs and feel that if you like Andrea's operatic voice you will also like Rolandos. This is true in my case but doesn't explain why I have become enamored with the voice of David Daniels as well. I would love to have input from other fans.

I haven´t heard his cd´s but excerpts and I really like his voice. Joseph Calleja is also a tenor to be noticed. Juan Diego Florez is already a big Rossini and Donizetti singer with his amazing bel canto voice. Have anybody heard James Valenti a youg american tenor. In my opinion his voice resambles Bocelli´s voice a great deal and like it very much with him also I have heard only excerpts. After James Valenti changed his management company a new site for him has been planned and there are no audio clips like the old one had......thats a shame

Kenzu, I have not heard Valenti sing. Jonas Kaufman is another tenor people are talking about and I can find no vocal clips to listen to. I have bought Calleja and Florez's CDs. They are amazing sounding tenors. I am always eager to hear the new operatic tenors: its almost like buying candy in a candy store one amazing flavor after another.
