Hi there..tis Em...Was just wondering if the Piazza del Campo was the setting for A Night In Tuscany and also, if some Bocelli angel would know of good lodging near...I am leaving May 21 and really don't have anything planned...other than the concert..actually, thats what I'm going for...guess my handsome gentleman friend will be with me..HA..think he is jealous..and rightfully so  ..love those Italian men..however, he is a gem..

Dear Em, here is a link for a group of hotels in Siena close to Piazza del Campo. I can't recommend any hotel there because I've never been there but I am sure you can easily pick the one that's more convenient to you and your budget:

Hi, Em, I just wanted to let you know that the Night in Tuscany concert was at the piazza in Pisa, not Siena. I'm also going to the Siena concert--I'll be staying at the Garden Hotel on the 24 and 25 May, then on to Rome for a few days. Hope to meet you somehow. BTW, the Garden is a bit outside of the town center, but it sounds like fun.
Do you know how to get reserved seat tickets? I tried the email address on Bo.de, but got no response (and I wrote in italian).

Thanks Fran -- I thought it was Pisa but was not 100% sure. They do not make it easy for us to get Bocelli tickets. I don't know anyone who has gotten seats yet for Siena through that email address. Guess we have to sit and wait.
I'm thinking of going depending on the plane situation at the time.
Also would love to go to Rome for a few days afterwards. How are you getting to Rome from Siena?

Hi, Sue: From Siena we go to Florence and get a train to Rome--it's not a big trip, can be done in a few hours, I think.
I wrote to that email address twice in Italian--it took a week to get an answer saying that they don't know yet how to sell and distribute the tickets! Still waiting, but not very patiently! At least they're giving me the chance to practice my Italian composition "skills."
Wow, the top price for the Athens concert seats is steep--saw this on Bo.de today.

Thanks Fran -- I figured train would be the best. I'm still looking at Siena but I do not know if it will materialize. I might just head for Florida instead and wait till the summer to visit Italy. :D _________________ BOCELLI YOU'RE THE BEST!!! |

Dear Nellie..Thank you....I chose the Athena...my gentleman and I...my goodness, this is going to be very, very "something"..I'm beside myself...
HA..and I thought I was going alone...Somehow, I think this is THE BIG thing...we'll see..but nothing, absolutely NOTHING, could compare to my feelings for Andrea. .you know how I am... _________________ What you truly believe of another, you awaken within them |

Managed to get the ticket from London to Siena so I can follow Bocelli from the CBA's. Didn't get a ticket as they do say it is a free concert so I'll have to stand on the rooftop of the hotel and hopefully be able to see him.
Hearing Bocelli's voice live in Italy is more than enough. See you there, Em...Sue _________________ BOCELLI YOU'RE THE BEST!!! |

Oh yes you will...I'm happy you will be there...I, or rather, we will be staying at the Athena..arriving the 23rd..You'll like my gentleman, he is tall and handsone but he understands about Andrea..he'd better.!!!!!!!!!
Siena is quite beautiful..a lot of history
A great part of going to Siena is "beholding" Andrea in his beloved Italy _________________ What you truly believe of another, you awaken within them |
