What is really swell about the staying power of AMORE is how long the "American Idol" boost has lasted. Generally when an artist has been featured on the show, their most recent album makes a big, splashy return to the top 10 the following week but then it goes back down to wherever it was before the "AI" appearance. Andrea went from #25 to #10 and now has only gone down one slot in each of the two weeks after. It is also sooooooo true about the other albums that came out at the same time as AMORE. Talk about a case of "where are they now?". Anyone seen the Il Divo cd lately? Didn't think so.  I have a keychain with Andrea's picture on one side and the saying "Andrea Bocelli--there is no substitute" on the other. SO true!  |

Andrea Bocelli's beautiful voice is absolutely addicting. I've only known about him for two months and I cannot get enough of his vocals. I've traded in John Mayer and Mariah Carey and think that the next concert I want to attend is an opera. Even my 12-year old daughter stole my Spanish version of Amore (which I bought by accident, but I love -- I actually prefer some of the songs in Spanish like Autumn Leaves).
By the way, I have no concept of foreign languages -- can anyone tell me which languages the US version of Amore is recorded in? Italian? Spanish? |

many of thr songs are the same, or spanish versions; there are 3 songs on amore not on amore.
Amore includes:
1. Amapola - Spanish
2. Besame Mucho Spanish
3. Les Feuilles Mortes french
4. Mi Manchi Italian- this is Mi faltus on amor
5. Somos Novios Spanish
6. Solamente Una Vez Spanish
7. Jurame- Spanish
8. Pero Te Extrano -Spanish
9. Canzoni Stonate - Italian
10. L'Appuntamento -Italian
11. Cuando Me Enamoro Quando M'Innamno- Mostly Italian
12. Can't Help Falling In Love- English
13. Because We Believe- Italian/English
14. Ama Credi E Vai Italian
I think I have that all right, There are Spanish versions of the Italian songs on Amore, on Amor; (wow dreadful English) like Me Faltas instead of Mi Manchi, also the bonus track, Estate is Verano on amor. And you have Momentos and Porque Tu Me Acostumbraste on amor (all three wonderful songs). While Amore has because we believe in the Italian/English and Italian versions. Some places have bonus tracks for Amore, such as I tunes has estate, and barns and nobel and borders had one each, Momentos and Porque Tu Me Acostumbraste. The England verson of amore has a solo version of Somos Novios.

Amore comes in at number 49 for week 17, which is still very good, considering all the new stuff coming out every week. This will be the last report on the Billboard chart. Amore is already past platinum hear in the USA and I am sure it will cross the double platinum mark soon enough.

Amore is still selling strong at amazon.com (I don't know if amazon gets counted in sound scan, sound scan is what billboard uses). Amore has been in the top 10, most days since its release, at amazon, and the last few days its been in the top 5, reaching number 2, even with all the new releases out there. Of course some artists are selling there new CDs for 9.99 at discount stores, trying to push sales. They hope to make it up on concert tickets.

| I looked at BILLBOARD last night and AMORE went from #49 to #45! I'll bet it's the influence of the current tour. Andrea is on "Good Morning America" tomorrow. Maybe it will go up a few more spots then also! |

I think the tour combined with Andrea's "Good Morning America" appearance last week and the recent PBS showings of the LLV concert sent a LOT of people shopping for an AMORE or two. Last week's chart had it ranked at #45. This week's chart shows it at........#25!!! Surely we will all be getting more and more signs of recognition these days when we say "I'm a fan of Andrea Bocelli" than the blank looks and "who?" comments we've grown accustomed to over the years. Yay!!!  |

| The Dr. Phil episode with Andrea was also repeated the week before last so that may have had something to do with the increase in sales as well. |

| I didn't know the new BILLBOARD listings came out on Thursdays. Now I know...they do! And........AMORE went from #25 to #12!!! I am ABsolutely loving watching Andrea's chart success. |
