We noted a misunderstanding about Andrea Bocelli's performances at the Avery Fisher Hall in New York:
I rectify and specify that the repertoire I perform in concert halls is EXCLUSIVELY and. STRICTLY Chamber repertoire in respect of what the venue and the orchestra require.
There will not be any connection with the repertoire I am used to perform in big arenas, above all in next tour in June during which I will perform also songs from my latest CD "AMORE".
I kindly ask to you all to help me in rectifing the wrong information, spreading as much detailed as possible this message.
Thank you
Andrea Bocelli

| Does anyone have any definite information on the reportoire for the June tour? I keep reading contradictary reports. The E-mail seems to point to something in the middle-and he obvously must know- butI just wondered if anyone had more details. Normally ,I just rush along to the concerts and think myself lucky to have the opportunity to do so but things seem to be changing and I would like to know just what I should expect. Kathanne |

Andrea Bocelli to sing with NY Philharmonic
Home News Tribune Online 04/30/06
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
Andrea Bocelli will make his New York Philharmonic debut in September, singing four performances of romantic arias.
The concerts, conducted by Asher Fisch, will be held Sept. 6-9, just before the orchestra's official opening night Sept. 13, the philharmonic said Thursday.
Among other songs, the blind tenor will sing Verdi/Berio's "Romanza."

No, no one has information about the June tour. The program of songs to be performed isn't something that has ever been known ahead of time for Andrea's arena concerts. I'm a bit confused by what you've posted, I have to say. If you "normally" just "rush along to the concerts" thinking you are "lucky to have the opportunity", why don't you feel that way now??? You know you can expect Andrea to sing his heart out! That's always been reason enough for me to attend. |

| I realise that Iam in the minority but I do not like AMORE. This amazes me as I always thought I would be able to listen to the telephone Directory if Andrea sang it but when I listen to his latest Cd I think the directory would have been preferable. We all have our personal preferences and the concerts usually provide something for everyone but I am wondering if we are going ttttto see the arena concerts more slanted towards the pop music. Not that I have any objection to the pop albums- I always think its very moving that so many of the audience know all the Italian Lyrics-but its nice to have some idea of the format if not the actual repertoire-if only to encourage others to go to the concerts.I am sure that Andrea will sing his heart out- he always does-but many people like to listen to different aspects of his voice. Guess I will never be a Sinatra fan but even so I think that Andrea has tried to give a little extra by singing in Spanish. There is less scope for imposing his own personality on this type of song. He always says that he tries to do something diffferent and I think that David Fosters comment about his English may not have been the only reason for the decision not to sing in English. Kathanne |

| I've read where some fans are speculating the June tour will be AMORE centered but I confess I have a hard time believing that. Andrea has never had an arena concert before where he exclusively focused on one album. I know he mentioned AMORE in the e-mail but he did say "also", not "only". I am expecting AMORE songs as encores, in the same way ANDREA songs were encores during the tour last spring. The only way you can be 100% certain of the show content is to wait until the tour begins and read a fan report from the first concert. That's a gamble, of course, regarding what sort of ticket you'd be able to get so last minute (without dealing with scalpers on eBay) but if you don't want to go without knowing, it is probably your only chance. |

I agree with these statements 100%. I think the Latin beat is unrelenting and monotone - very boring. Also, when he does repetoire "owned" by others, there are two many ghosts. His first three pop CDs will always be in a class all their own. I don't think he would be where he is today had "Andrea" and "Amore" been his first offerings. I am quite sure many people feel this way. The venues in my area - The Tweeter Ctr. - are getting smaller so he may still be able to fill them but the WOW! factor for the general public has declined. _________________ Although, in his life, he was often called the imbecile from Illinois, history has proven otherwise. |

I disagree with you Willma. I think Andrea has more fans than ever before and I think he is selling a lot more CDs than in Andrea's earlier years.
