Your description of how you came face to face with OFT was Soul stirring. Your memories of that moment will be etched on your mind forever.
When I went to his Las Vegas Concert in 2004 I was not in the front row, however, it made no difference. His LOVE essence permeated everywhere. It touched every person at that concert. We all felt as though he was singing just to us. He is God's musical messenger. As he travels throughout the world projecting his musical gift, we are ALL transformed. Anyone who has gone to his concerts will attest to this. When Andrea begins to sing, his musical sounds emit Angel dust that floats in the air and causes tears to roll down your cheeks quietly. At that precise moment you know that God is touching you. ^j^

I haven't been fortunate enough yet to attend a concert in anything byt a somwhat tatty arena . The first time I saw him was on the Sentimento' tour so that I had nothing to compare it with at the time. The thing that struck me most was the emotion conveyed to the audience in that vast place. By the audience I don,t just mean the fans. We had, by chance ,met a large party of people on their way to the concert. Husbands and boyfriends had been dragged along , some quite disgruntled about having to 'give up' part of their weekend and none of them fans of Andrea's type of music. Some were even embarrassed at being there. By the end of the concert it was a different story. None would admit to being touched by the emotion ,of course,{British men? never} but they were all praising his courage, his concentration , his physical strength, his wonderful memory. Several were also advocating lynching his management because he looked so strained and tired. A huge sea-change in a few hours. An artist who can have this effect on a hostile audience without addressing a word to them has a very special gift and it is not about the medium. I have been to concerts since but that emotion was lacking. I realise now,of course tht he was experiencing a trauma in his personal life. The total contrast to the next time I saw him indicated to me that his performances would always be affected by his state of mind.This is the case with everyone to an extent,of course but in Andre,s case it seems to be magnified. It isn,t possible to separat the man from his music or vice versa.
