Actually, my all time favorite is a contemporary Christian artist, Carman, who just happens to be Italian. I have placed Andrea 2nd, don't throw rotten tomatoes at me please, as my favorite secular artist. I've always been a Neil Diamond fan, but he got bumped. I have also been to some Ted Nugent concerts with my husband as "Uncle Ted" is his favorite. We got to meet he and his wife, Shemane, at a book signing. They were both so gracious. It's difficult to get past the trash mouth, but I must say he's the most talented guitarist I've ever watch. My husband and I are both NRA members, and trust me when I tell you that we kept our guns handy after Katrina. We are 150 miles north of the gulf coast, which got demolished and destroyed, and still sustained a category 3 hurricane here. After what happened last year, I can truly say we are as ready as we can be for this hurricane season. _________________ Lindy :) |

That is great GM! I'm a bit one track minded and should have known that, but I didn't. I occasionally listen to other Christian artists but I just love Carman's slant on spiritual warfare. He just puts fire under me when I need to clean house on the days that I can. I told my mom the other day that my two favorite singers are Italian. She said she wasn't surprised as Italians can truly sing. You have a truly blessed day as well, GM! :) _________________ Lindy :) |

Sorry it took so long getting back to you but my children and I went bike riding, went to the store and came home and made dinner.
Do you know who I would like to hear sing a gospel, and I mean a real tear jerker gospel?..... Prince. That man has a beautiful voice.
Carman's music is one I haven't heard yet... it that all Carman goes by, is just Carman?...
But as far as Italian singers go.... I've got to say Andrea Bocelli captures the missing puzzle pieces by Gods Grace. |

Sorry I haven't been online in days, but husband had knee surgery and it takes all of my energies to take care of him. I had no idea that removing cartlige and putting the kneecap back in the place it's supposed to be could be so very painful and traumatic. But, doctor said he could fix all of the problems, but I see why it's going to take time, patience, and prayer. Tomorrow he has to start the bending of the knee exercises and I dread it for him. He's doing what he's been instructed, but doctor said that he'll be on crutches for at least 4 weeks. In the meantime, taking care of him is fulltime job as he can't do this without this, and that without that and he can't do it for himself. He's used to being a caregiver, not a care-receiver and he's so frustrated. It hasn't even been a week yet. But, we keep looking at the goal!
Yes.....one word "Carman." Hope you all have a great day! _________________ Lindy :) |

I love ice cream in the summer, but have to watch my blood sugar as I am a diabetic on top of everything else!! I only have to take one pill a day as I can pretty much control everything with diet. So, my snacks are some fruits, pistaschios.....(SP????), Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds, etc. I don't crave chocolate anymore, but I do enjoy a good cup of coffee!
My husband got his 3 stitches out yesterday and bandages removed..... his knee is 3 times the size of his other one. Doc gave us a report of what he did in surgery, and it apparently was somewhat worse than what he was expecting. Not that I understood all of the gooble-de-goop, but from what I did understand, well, it wasn't pretty. But, my husband is doing exactly what the doctor says to do and he starts rehab on Friday. Thanks for all of the prayers as we both need them. Take care! _________________ Lindy :) |

Thank you, GM. Sorry it's taken so long to get back with you. He is doing better, Praise God, but is still frustrated that he can't do what he wants to do. He has come such a long way, and I'm trying to keep him focused on what he can do and has accomplished, thus far, instead of what he can't do, bless his heart. Physical therapy told me that he has surpassed the norm as far as regaining strength in his leg and could tell he is doing his excersises. He is just impatient. He should be without crutches in a few weeks. _________________ Lindy :) |

Husband is doing so much better and it's been such a relief to see bits and pieces of my favorite guy. He is still in discomfort, somewhat, but he can NOW DRIVE! He is in route sales and has to drive X amount of miles each week. Unfortunately, it was his right knee that received surgery. He has been working part-time and hopes to be back full-time in a week or so. His company has provided him with a driver! I look back on it now, seeing how the Lord has brought us both through .... remembering that many nights I got in the bed completely drained and in pain myself, thanking Jesus for the close of another day.
Going back and reading this thread, I hadn't thought about Prince singing gospel...or comtempory Christian. It's been years since I heard him sing. Have you checked out Carman.org yet? He has a cool site, I must say. He has many different styles, even rap, which I am not fond of, but he does his best to reach young people, and he sings whatever style it takes.
Hope all have a wonderful day! _________________ Lindy :) |
