My daughter called me yesterday and put my 2 year old Grandson on the phone and he's saying Elmo, Elmo and trying to sing a song. In the background I hear a familiar song and a yet familiar voice. It was our favorite Tenor singing "Time to Say Goodnight" to Elmo of Sesame Street. My daughter said she taped it and my grandson falls to sleep to this at night. How wonderful! I'm passing the video clip I found online onto all of my Bocelli fans to enjoy. What another wonderful gesture on Andrea's part.
This is the smallest. I have verified that this one plays.

This one is optimized for streaming. It is uploading as I type this so I have not yet verified that it will play.

Oh Tuscanbella! Thank you so much for posting this video! It is absolutely adorable and very touching. No wonder the youngsters (and oldsters....hehehe) love it. I know I'm sleepy after that!

I've loved this clip since its first run on television. It is so clever!
Now that my grandson is two and a BIG Elmo fan, I play my taped copy for him quite often. He loves it!

| My daughter and I where watching Sesame Street today, and Andrea Bocelli and Elmo did the Time to Say Goodnight. I fell in love. I have never heard of Andrea Bocelli before, and never have been one to listen to Opera/Classical Music before. I immediately went on-line to find out more about him. His music and life story are truly awe inspiring. I've become an instant fan. And Thank you for the link to the clip. |

Hello Raycho48,
Welcome to BOL. I think your story is lovely!
The song you heard Andrea sing with Elmo , "Time to Say Goodnight" is a parody of "Con Te Partiro`" or "Time to Say Good-bye", which Andrea made famous in a duet with Sarah Brightman. Here is a link to ABMusica.com which will explain some of the history behind this beautiful song. One day, when you attend your first Andrea Bocelli concert, you may very well hear it as the last song of the evening.

Come back and post soon!
