Hello everyone,
I just registered tonight and this is my first post although I have been reading the discussions on line for quite some time now. Needless to say I am in the same category as you all-I love THE MAN. I have never been to one of his concerts but maybe some day I will. I listen to his music every day and I cry every day because such emotion is heard in his songs. I am hooked on his pop albums but I do have some classical ones too. I do not know much about opera but am going to try to get to know this music that AB loves so much. For all of you who live abroad, I live in the state of Louisiana (Katrina country) and would love to hear from you. Well I think this is enough for my first post.

May God bless our man AB and keep him safe always as we love him so much!!!

We're happy to have you! You'll meet other fans of Andrea Bocelli here. Some have attended concerts, and others, like you, have yet to have that experience. But we all share one thing. We've been touched by that beautiful voice.

Interesting that you should be from Louisiana and ANOTHER member here is named Rose and is also from Louisiana! What are the chances? You mentioned reading the df for awhile. I'm always curious to learn from newbies WHEN they discovered THE MAN smooch

. If you've been reading for awhile, you aren't one of the many fans Andrea gained from his "American Idol' appearance this spring. When did you get hooked? I go back to mid 1998. First heard Andrea that summer and thought, "hmmm!". First saw him on tv that November and thought, "THUD!". I was a gone goose from then on. It's been great! banana

Nice to meet you. Thanks for your post. I first started listening to AB around 1996/97 at the time he did his duet with Sarah Brightman ( I had her CD at the time) but was not into him that much although I purchased his album 'Andrea' when it came out in 2004. Then at the end of 2005 I started listening to 'Andrea' and all of a sudden I was a goner. I saw the special Amore Under the Desert Sky that was on PBS in February of this year down here. I could not get enough of him. I bought the CD & DVD. I also purchased Romanza and Songo which I just love and listen to over and over again. He has touched my heart with his music, as I'm sure he has touched all of the other members of this forum.

Hi Rose Marie--I live in Minden, the northwest corner of the state. There are more than a few Louisianan's in awe of this special man I'd be willing to bet, we are just harder to find. Looking at the map, you almost missed Louisiana altogether! :-) Welcome!
