I recently won $100 on a $2.00 lottery ticket banana

and decided use the winnings to gift myself with a variety of dvds. bouncy

One of the things I got was the CREDO dvd which is the movie that shows scenes from the life of Pope John Paul II and has Andrea's singing from "Sacred Arias" as the background music. Andrea's voice went so well with the footage used in this movie. The one drawback for me with CREDO has nothing to do with Andrea, really. It is described on the back of the case as "A movie on John Paul II--His Life". What they don't tell you is that the footage of his life is shown in alternating scenes throughout the entire dvd with footage of his funeral and everyone being sad and crying. I didn't like that. I can understand them wanting to include the funeral but to keep showing it throughout the ENTIRE dvd was too much, IMHO. Anyway...one of the songs played was new to me. It was called "Proteggimi" and was ABsolutely beautiful! I've never heard of it and surely don't have it on any cds. I was wondering if anyone here knows where it comes from. Was it created especially for this dvd? It was written by Sartori and Quarantotto (also with Serio). S & Q positively have the KEY to writing beautiful songs for Andrea! smooch

Hi Janice. My name is Gus. I now which song you are talking about and share your taste, that song is beautiful. I have been looking for that song for a while and I have not been able to find it. I even tried to download it on the internet and no luck. I think it was created for that dvd of the pope maybe. Sorry you are having the same problem like me finding it. There is another one that I can not find and it is almost the last one of that same dvd,,, called I believe. it is in english, I love it myself. Hi Gus! I asked this question at a couple of different Bocelli sites and learned the answer. There was an Italian movie a few years ago named "Vajont" (I *think* I'm remembering that correctly) which is where "Proteggimi" comes from. The song was NOT, however, included on the "Vajont" soundtrack cd so the only places to hear it, it seems, are during the actual films. As it is such a beautiful song, go figure why they've kept it such a secret. "I Believe' is definitely available on cd. Not any of Andrea's exclusive cds, though. It comes off a cd called "Hymn for the World", which has many different artists and musical pieces on it. I'd bet it's listed in any of Andrea's discographies, where you could find the complete information regarding the song--the exact name of the cd and whatnot. Good luck! bouncy

Hi Anna and Janice. Thanks a lot for the information on the songs. I know you Janice have been looking for proteggimi just like me. I am ordering the cd Hymm for the world as I write you this message, so I appreciate that. The other day after trying and trying I was able to download Proteggimi online and it sounds perfect but then I tried to burn it to a cd and would not let me do it. For a moment I thought I got lucky but at least now I have it on my computer. Well, I wish you both a happy new year. Have a nice week, take care,

Hola Isabela. Credo es el nombre de un Video en DVD de el Papa juan pablo II. De lo que hablamos si no me equivoco es de una cancion que esta en ese video y la cancion se llama: Proteggimi. La cancion no esta en ningun cd de Andrea Bocelli. Bueno saludos por alla, espero que estes bien.
