A couple of months ago, we here at BocelliOnline received a letter addressed to Andrea, with a request to forward the letter to him. I did so, but because of the beautiful, heartfelt simplicity of the letter, I wrote the author and requested permission to post it. He told me that he wanted to wait awhile...I just received an email giving me permission to share it. I hope you'll all enjoy it as much as I did.

Dear Mr. Bocelli,

My name is Marcel Jares, and I would like to tell you how much I adore your music. I am sure that many people send you letters from all over the world to tell you how beautifully you sing. My short Email wants to tell you much more than that. I would like to thank you for doing what you do. I am sure it brings joy and happiness to millions of people all over the world. You can sing without music and still lose nothing from your greatness. Your voice is so beautiful that anytime I listen to your songs it just touches the deepest part of my soul. I can have a very bad day; it can rain, it can snow but your music with your angelical voice always brings peace and sunshine into my inner being. Even though I don't sing well, I sing along with you in my car and feel so great.

People sometimes get bored and tired of what they do. Even the greatest joy can after some time feel like a routine. Singing to you can be like making bread for a baker. In this moment it is important to see that what we do is good and makes sense. If these moments ever come to your life please read this letter to know that your music can make the difference; it does in my life. Thank you very much again for what you have been doing for me and others - singing. There is much more I feel when I hear you sing, but I just cannot express it with word.

I wish you the very best I can for you and your family.

A simple admirer of your great music

Marcel Jares

Oh Marcel, what a beautiful tribute to Andrea Bocelli! It expresses so well how deeply we who love his voice feel about its effect on our lives. It has truly helped me over the last four most difficult years since losing my dear husband of 32 years. I think that your words tell how I feel better than I could say it myself. So in your skill with words you, too, offer comfort and
calmness to touch our souls in a world that sometimes gives difficult problems of one kind or another and leaves us battered and hurting. We can always retreat and seek the calming, healing consolation of this man's special talent so that we can face the new day ready meet its challenges.

Thank you so much for sharing this sensitive statement of admiration with all of us. Andrea Bocelli is truly a man with an Angel's Voice. Star Bene e Pace,
Sarah Down in Alabama

Excellent letter Marcel, many people feel the same way as you do. We all get stressed, disheartened, disillusioned. We have good days and bad days. Andrea's music smooths out the wrinkles at the end of the day. It is calming, soothing and can turn the worst of days into a positive experience.
I look forward to when I can listen (and sing of course) to Andrea and it gives me hope and optimism that, hey, perhaps things are not so bad after all!
Of course, many days are good, but I still turn the music on when I can and just chill.
Cheers from Australia
